Relax and Chill Out...Because You Deserve It
These are some of the Cyprus Beaches Ive personally had the satisfaction to discover and enjoy. They all differ in many ways as youll see below.
Fireman's Beach
Fireman's Beach is a lovely, sandy cove beach and has some really breathtaking views. You can even see Famagusta Ghost Town on a clear day, if you walk round the bay. The fireman's station is located at the top of the bay and fireman can often be seen training on the beach in the late afternoon and early morning. It's perfect for families as the beach is compact and secluded with shallow waters. You'll find a copious amount of sunloungers and umbrellas at your disposal and a Kiosk at the top of the bay.
Fireman's Beach is situated, just off the Kennedy Avenue in Kapparis.
Malama Beach
If youre looking for peace and quiet, then Malama is a perfect choice. Its a sandy beach which is tranquil, in comparison to other main beaches. A real locals choice with a water sports area for the adventurous type. You have a sea view restaurant/ cafe above the beach if you require breakfast, lunch or dinner. It would be ideal for families as the water is shallow enough for young children and is small enough to keep an eye on them.
Malama Beach is situated just off the Kennedy Ave, in Kapparis.
Ayia Triada Beach
Ayia Triada is a visually appealing beach, with a fishing harbour and tiny chapel. Its a sandy beach, with sun loungers provided for the general public. Again, its tranquil and safe enough for kids with the shallow waters and relatively small beach area (compared to the main beaches). There are walking trails along the coast if youre feeling active and want to soak up the views of the beautiful harbour.
Ayia Triada Beach is situated just off the Kennedy Ave, in Kapparis.
Macronissos Beach
This is quality, blue flag beach that is formed from a cluster of 3 bays. The sand is wonderfully thick and soft. A tractor with a plough treats the sand at the end of the day. Its a very popular and busy beach with its own diving school, if you fancy some scuba. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas and a separate water sports area for the active sun worshippers. As its such a huge stretch of beach, there are life guards on duty. Theres a kiosk/ caf that provides snacks and refreshments.
Macronissos Beach is located just off the Nissi Avenue, in Ayia Napa.
Serena Bay Beach
I almost hate to give this one away. Serena Bay is a picturesque, secluded, sandy beach, situated in a pretty bay. It's relatively compact and has a rustic, scenic beach bar. Again, it's perfect for families with its small stretch of beach and calm waters. It's a popular venue for weddings, due to its charming settings. It's relatively quiet low or mid season but gets very busy during peak season and weekends.
Serena Bay Beach is situated at the bottom of the Lindos road, in between the Crystal Springs and Golden Coast Hotel in Pernera.
